The dGMM is designed to measure ground movement, and its flexible shaft can accomodate eccentric loading or shear. It can be configured as a crack monitor or can be used for structural monitoring of shafts, headframes or barricades or as a closure station.
The dGMM, is a magnetostrictive displacement sensor with a resolution of 0.01mm and a range of 145mm, which is used for structural monitoring of shafts, headframes or barricades or as a closure station.
The installation consists of a rebar toe-grouted in a short borehole with the free threaded end coming close to the excavation. dGMM is then threaded onto the free end of the rebar allowing it to measure movement relative to the wall.
The electronics are completely sealed against the environment and are temperature controlled. It has an on-board microcontroller running YieldPoint’s proprietary d-Tech signal processing and transmission technology, to provide a high precision single point displacement sensor. The flexible shaft can accomodate eccentric loading or shear.
