u-CELL Background

Theory of Operation.

YieldPoint and Dr Hani Mitri through his company RocTek have negotiated a joint agreement whereby YieldPoint will develop the signal processing electronics to allow the u-CELL to operate with YieldPoint’s d-tech instrumentation platform. The u-CELL is a coupler that can be attached to the head end of a rockbolt to monitor the load. It is specifically intended for end-anchored bolts such as (i) mechanical rockbolt (ii) cone bolt (iii) Yieldlok bolts. The output from the u-CELL is directly in tons and each unit is individually calibrated.
